The Role

We are currently looking to recruit a Receptionist/Administrator in Cardiff to work as part of a small team.  The primary focus will be on providing reception and administrative duties for Cardiff Bay Business Centre and administrative duties for other activities. You will also deal with maintenance issues and handle enquiries for workspace in the centre

You will be required to support other staff, in relation to different aspects of UKSE work, including property management, investment work, marketing and community work. 

There may also be the occasional need to be flexible on hours worked and to deal with key holder call outs for the Centre.

Accountabilities

Within the role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a reception service for Cardiff Bay Business Centre.
  • Administering building security, including opening and closing, fob access systems, CCTV etc
  • Dealing with routine and ad-hoc maintenance issues and health & safety administration.
  • Processing purchase invoices, generate sales invoices and related financial administration.
  • Support marketing activities, including dealing with enquiries for the centre, providing quotes and tenant documentation as appropriate. Supporting staff in other marketing activities as required.

Requirements

  • A pleasant, confident and courteous manner and the ability to communicate well at all levels are important, along with the ability to work under pressure at times and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work on own initiative are important in order that actions and activities are completed in a timely manner.
  • You will have good general administrative skills and IT skills including experience of using a range of typical office software and telephony systems.
  • Be commercially aware with an appreciation of the problems faced by small businesses, particularly tenant businesses in The Innovation Centre.
