Job Title:          Regional Executive (Investment funding officer)

Salary:              Circa £40,000 - £48,000 + Bonus + Car +  Benefits

The Role

We are currently looking to recruit a Regional Executive in Wales, to be responsible for appraising, negotiating and implementing funding to businesses in our operating area, to assist in managing Cardiff Bay Business Centre and Ebbw Vale Innovation Centre, to undertake marketing and business development activities and to assist the Area Manager in implementing UKSE’s policy of economic regeneration within the Region.

Accountabilities

Within the role, your responsibilities will include:

  • critically appraising investment opportunities.
  • managing a portfolio of investments.
  • providing sensible business support to client companies
  • managing the Cardiff Bay Business Centre and the Ebbw Vale Innovation Centre
  • marketing of UKSE’s products and services.
  • deputising for the Area Manager as and when appropriate.

 

Requirements

  • A good commercial awareness and an understanding of strategic and financial matters
  • Experience of or/and an interest in identifying and assessing investment opportunities
  • An appropriate business finance qualification
  • The ability to work flexibly with a strong team working ethic
  • Great communication skills in order to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • An inquisitive nature in order to interrogate business plans
  • Passionate about supporting small business and making a difference to our communities
