Salary: £33,477 - £36,651 + Bonus

If yes, join our Tata Steel Colors division in Shotton, where you’ll be part of a global enterprise with a rich 50-year history in crafting pre-finished steel products. Your role will involve working with machinery that’s integral to a wide range of industries, including home appliances, construction, and more.

Your Role:

You will oversee the mechanical upkeep, overhaul, and repair of our crane equipment, ensuring high-level bay maintenance. Your hands-on approach will also extend to general production line maintenance during downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in compliance with our IMS procedures and PPE guidelines.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on Overhead Travelling Cranes.
• Perform high-quality mechanical repairs based on existing schematics within set timelines.
• Contribute to the design and production of spare parts for cranes.
• Engage in the refurbishment of current machinery.
• Actively participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, enhancing safety and cleanliness within the Crane Maintenance Team.
• Perform additional duties in Workshops, auxiliary plants, and during downshifts as needed.
• Conduct Zone Safety audits and Risk assessments in accordance with our Safety Sub Plan.

Requirements:

We’re seeking a seasoned fitter with substantial experience in the steel or construction industry. Possession of an NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
