Location:  Warwick Technical Centre, Coventry with hybrid working (CV4)

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000

Our Product Design & Engineering team (PDE) is an engineering and technology group, focused on the application of strip steel for the benefit of Tata Steel’s customers. We are experienced engineers, primarily with an automotive engineering or packaging material background. Often working with the customers’ design teams, we provide innovative, manufacturable solutions combining OEM product knowledge with our own materials expertise.  Our service typically involves FEA to differentiate Tata Steel and provide value to both customers and ourselves . 


The Role


We are looking for experienced engineers to join our successful team and the post holder will have a key role in providing design optimised and cost efficient solutions using the existing and Tata Steel material developments. A knowledge of multi-materials will be a benefit when working with our customer base. Delivering customer, collaborative and internal development projects will involve some project leadership.

We are looking to recruit new team members with formal engineering qualifications, and have relevant experience in design (primarily automotive or packaging, but other sectors will be considered, together with the ability to develop and communicate new methods and ideas, using finite element analysis and/or CAD design software. The role provides customer support in all areas of analysis (linear, non-linear, crash, forming, etc.) using industry standard software.
